🔧 Diagnostic & Repair Protocol
- Voltage Check Verify 3.3V standby at CN801. Check 5V and 12V rails when triggered. Missing voltages indicate PSU issue, not firmware.
- SPI Flash Identification Locate IC802 near the CPU. Common markings: W25Q16JVSSIQ, MX25L1606E, W25Q64JVSSIQ. Note capacity (16=2MB, 64=8MB).
- Backup Procedure Always read original firmware first. Save as BIN file with date code. Verify checksum before erasing.
- Programming Method Use SOIC8 test clip or desolder IC. Connect to RT809H: Pin 1 (CS), Pin 2 (DO/MISO), Pin 5 (DI/MOSI), Pin 6 (CLK), Pin 4 (GND), Pin 8 (VCC 3.3V).
- Writing Firmware Select correct IC model in RT809H software. Erase → Blank Check → Write → Verify. DO NOT interrupt power during write.
- Post-Repair First boot may take 60-90 seconds for EEPROM initialization. Check factory mode settings (Volume → 0 0 0 0 → Menu).
